SRI KALINGA NARTHANA PERUMAL THUNAI
Hare Krishna!
Without the blessing of Sri Kalinga Narthana Perumal, nobody can write or speak
about his divine self. For the past hundred years my forefathers have been
dedicatedly offering pooja to Sri Kalinga Narthana Perumal. I am deeply
indebted to my forefathers, without whom I would not have got the divine

TEMPLE HISTORY
About 150 years ago Lord Kirshna himself appeared in the dreams Eddapadi Sri Venkata subba Iyer (My Great Great Grand Father) to find himself in Suyambu form at Manju Pallam kaadu (forest) alias Iyer Kaadu (forest) belongs to our forefathers himself and Lord said he would be blessing the family members and his devotee in due course. From then my forefathers Eddapadi Sri Venkata subba Iyer built Sri Kanlinganarthar Permual temple for the welfare of family and society. The Regular poojas were performed by him and his two sons - Eddapadi Sri V Kaninganarthana Iyer and Sri V Gopalakrishnan Iyer as per Family Hereditary descendant traditions.
In course of time children of Eddapadi Sri V Kaninganarthana Iyer and Sri V Gopalakrishnan Iyer started to move out of village due urbanization except few.

MAIN DEITY
Here, Lord Krishna is seen in suyambu form (over small rock) in dancing
posture with His right foot on the serpent’s head and holding the tail of the
serpent with His left hand and showing Abhaya Mudra with His right hand, which
is a rare feast for the eyes of his devotees. Clear dancing postures will be
