SRI ANGALA PARAMESWARI THUNAI

SRI KALINGA NARTHANA PERUMAL THUNAI

Hare Krishna! Without the blessing of Sri Kalinga Narthana Perumal, nobody can write or speak about his divine self. For the past hundred years my forefathers have been dedicatedly offering pooja to Sri Kalinga Narthana Perumal. I am deeply indebted to my forefathers, without whom I would not have got the divine opportunity of experiencing his divine blessings
I stand before you as a humble messenger of Lord Sri Krishna to speak about the holy history behind the origin of Suymabu Sri Kalinga Narthana Perumal Temple. Suyambu is a structure of any form that originates itself, such a type Sri Kalinga Narthana Perumal can be found at Salem district, Sankagiri Taluk, Devanagounder Village-Manju pallam Kadu alias Iyer Kaddu, Idappadi.

TEMPLE HISTORY
About 150 years ago Lord Kirshna himself appeared in the dreams Eddapadi Sri Venkata subba Iyer (My Great Great Grand Father)  to find himself in Suyambu form at  Manju Pallam kaadu (forest) alias Iyer Kaadu  (forest) belongs to our forefathers  himself  and Lord said he would be blessing the family members and his devotee in due course. From then my forefathers Eddapadi Sri Venkata subba Iyer built Sri Kanlinganarthar Permual temple for the welfare of family and society. The Regular poojas were performed by him and his two sons - Eddapadi Sri V Kaninganarthana Iyer and Sri V Gopalakrishnan Iyer as per Family Hereditary descendant traditions.

In course of time children of Eddapadi Sri V Kaninganarthana Iyer and Sri V Gopalakrishnan Iyer  started to move out of village due urbanization except few.

Still today ,SRI KALINGA NARDHANA PERUMAL TEMPLE Family members  use to assemble yearly once on Puratassi month generally falls in the months of September and October to offer Yearly Pooja to lord.
and especially first head shave(mottai)/ear boring functions for girl child in family will be performed before lord

MAIN DEITY

Here, Lord Krishna is seen in suyambu form (over small rock) in dancing posture with His right foot on the serpent’s head and holding the tail of the serpent with His left hand and showing Abhaya Mudra with His right hand, which is a rare feast for the eyes of his devotees. Clear dancing postures will be seen behold the eyes of true devotees

LORD HANUMAN

The Hanuman here is found in a separate shrine left side of main diety. In most Hanuman temples, he can be seen with folded hands (Anjali Hastham). However, in this temple, the right hand is seen raised as if to tell his devotees not to fear when He is there to protect them.

LORD GANESH WITH RAGHU & KETU

The idol of Lord Vinayaka along with Raghu and ketu adorns the right side of the main entrance of the temple.
People pray here for Marriage settlement ,Good job, Promotion ,loan problem and job loss problems
